I know you are all so tired of summer that you really want to start working on class assignments. One of the first assignments that you will complete in AP English Language is to write a letter to your classmates. I will collect all of the letters and duplicate them for each member of the class. Because the letters will help all of us get to know each other, I hope you will take the time to write a letter that captures the essence of your personality.
After you write the letter, please attach a photograph of yourself. You will then submit the letter to Turnitin.com so I can compile the letters and print them for class members. If you want to get started early, click on the file below in order to read the assignment and to read my introductory letter to the class. The letters will be due on Friday, August 14th. If you finish your letter before the first day of school, please do not submit it to Turnitin until you attend class and receive the code to access Turnitin.com.
